SPIRAL Silicon Carbide heating Elements
SPIRAL Silicon Carbide heating Elements are manufactured from Reaction Bonded Silicon Carbide and are available in a very large range of sizes form 12mm to 50mm diameters and in lengths of up to 2250mm.
Three Piece Silicon Carbide heating Elements
These three piece Elements are Silcarb’s highest selling product. The cold ends are welded on to the hot section, providing a hot to cold ratio of 1:15. These are highly reliable and economical Heating Elements.
Dumbell Shaped Silicon Carbide heating Elements
These Heating Elements were traditionally manufactured by Silcarb to keep the cold ends low in resistance. These Heating Elements are gradually being
phased -out as three piece Straight Alpha Rods are more energy efficient.
U-shaped Silicon Carbide heating Elements
Silcarb’s `U’ Shaped Alpha Rods are manufactured by carefully matching two Alpha Rod Heating Elements and welding a thickened bridge.
These are useful for elements, which required single end termination.
Reaction bonded single end spiral elements
Silcarb’s single ended element have high densities (of the order of 3.15 Gram per cc) and are suitable for high temperature applications and applications involving thermal cycling.
